The reprinted menu of a canteen in the campus of Sayajirao University in Vadodara boasts of Rahul Gandhi’s photographs and every dish is named after him since the scion of Gandhi family spent some time in the University interacting with students.
Owner of the canteen Vishwanath Shetty said he was so impressed with the simplicity of the youth icon that he wanted to make his visit to the canteen a memorable one.
The Congress general secretary had dropped in the canteen on February 13 after he was denied to interact with the students in the university by the university authorities citing security reasons.
Gandhi, who had tea and samosa at the canteen, had said that it was his commitment to meet students and interact with them about the issues confronting them and society.
