Abhishek Singhvi in Picking on nothing (August 16) has generalised the example of Manikrao Gavit who is an exception among legislators. Nuclear confusion

Some top nuclear scientists who were involved in the build-up of India’s nuclear might have raised apprehensions about the Indo-US nuclear deal. President Abdul Kalam has also laid stress on domestic uranium mining and harnessing of country’s vast thorium resources to build our own uranium and thorium-based reactors to enable us to be self-reliant in nuclear energy. The questions raised by nuclear scientists and the President’s ‘nuclear advice’ must be addressed.
