Unrest over Tamil issue: All colleges closed in TN indefinitely

Apprehending intensification of the students’ unrest in Tamil Nadu as a fallout of the Sri Lankan Tamils crisis, the DMK Government tonight ordered indefinite closure of all State-run and rpt State-run and private colleges, reports MR Venkatesh.

Apprehending intensification of the students’ unrest in Tamil Nadu as a fallout of the Sri Lankan Tamils crisis, the DMK Government Saturday night ordered indefinite closure of all State-run and rpt State-run and private colleges including professional colleges and all hostels attached to them.

The colleges will remain closed “until further orders”, an official release here tonight said.
