UP Board exams from March 12

The high school exams would be held between march 12 to april 3, while the intermediate exams from march 12 to april 18

The high school and intermediate examinations of the UP Board will start from March 12, to be held in two shifts from 7.30am to 10.45am and 2pm to 5.15pm. Director of the UP Board Vasudev Yadav gave this information at Board’s headquarter in Allahabad on Friday.

He said the high school examinations would be held on 14 working days between March 12 to April 3, while the intermediate examinations would be held on 25 working days between March 12 to April 18.

As per Yadav, a total of 62,08,229 students had been registered to appear in the Board examinations this year - 36,03,857 for the intermediate examinations while 20,56,678 for high school. This year the examinee count has risen by 5,47,694 students, informed Yadav.

In 2012, 56,70,535 students had appeared in high school and intermediate examinations - 36,03,857 in high school and 20,56,678 in intermediate.

A total of 10,000 examination centres have been proposed for conducting the exams this year. Yadav further said with a view to curb use of unfair means, coded answer sheets would be provided to examinees appearing in intermediate examinations while for high school coded answer sheets would be provided to examinees in 10 sensitive districts of the state, including Aligarh, Hathras, Etah, Allahabad, Kaushambi, Ghazipur, Mau, Ballia, Deoria and Azamgarh.
