Judge RC Jain's order came on a Delhi Police petition saying their Uttar Pradesh counterparts could not probe the alleged tapping as it was said to have occurred in the national capital.

The Uttar Pradesh police have registered a case in this connection.

Amar Singh has accused the Delhi Police of tapping his phone at the instance of the Delhi government, which, according to him, was acting on orders of Sonia Gandhi.

The court fixed January 25 as the next date for the next hearing.
