Singh said land was being given to them at throwaway prices for real estate business. He said the government was on a land-grabbing spree on behalf of the industrialists.

Addressing newsmen here on Friday, Singh said the Reliance power project in Dadri had failed to take off. Countering the charges that he had been hampering the developmental activities, the former PM said there had been no progress in Dadri project even after lapse of two years, which was the deadline for actual power production. Singh said if Jan Morcha Alliance came to power, the excess land of Dadri project would be transferred back to the farmers.

Singh said this project would never come up. He said the chief minister should come out clean on the project and tell the people how much power had been committed to the state. He said Reliance documents indicated that major portion of the power would go to Haryana, Punjab and Rajasthan.
