The girl, allegedly raped by a 19-year-old youth in Nebua Naurangia area on September 21, had approached station house officer Jasraj Yadav for filing the complaint. But he allegedly asked her to strip before him so that he could confirm the incident.

Her medical examination was conducted a day later only after she went to senior police officers. Superintendent of police Lalit Kumar said an inquiry into her allegation against the SHO has been ordered.

The SHO refuted the allegation, saying the girl herself had called the accused to her house and her family members had caught them in a compromising position and beaten the youth.
