"We have approved the layout. While 7,000 houses will be built in Greater Noida, 5,000 units will come up in the Yamuna authority area," said Rama Raman, chief executive officer (CEO), Greater Noida authority.

The proposed housing societies will have community centres, schools, local commercial hubs, kiosks, playgrounds and garages. The size of a flat would be 30 sqm.

Out of 7,000 units in Greater Noida, 3,500 houses will be built in Sector Mu-2 and the rest in Sector 10. The Yamuna authority will construct 5,000 houses in Sector 18 along the expressway.

The houses will be available in the range of R6 to R8 lakh and will be allotted through draw of lots.
