UP youth elopes with stepmother

Kashyap had married Savitri after the death of his first wife Lilawati. Savitri was staying with her stepson for quite some time.

A 22-year-old youth has allegedly eloped with his stepmother in Bamat village while a son has tried to burn alive his father in Khalwara village of Muzaffarnagar district, police said on Wednesday.

According to the complaint filed by Indapal Kashyap, his son Pappan has eloped with his second wife Savitri (30) after stealing valuables from his house.

Kashyap had married Savitri after the death of his first wife Lilawati. Savitri was staying with her stepson for quite some time during which they fell in love, police said.

A search is on to find the couple, they added.

In another incident in Khalwara village, a youth Sushil allegedly attempted to burn alive his 60-year-old father Bir Singh, police said.
