Addressing the gathering of party workers, state treasurer of the party, Suresh Gupta, expressed his anguish over the Congress-led United Progressive Alliance (UPA) at Centre and alleged that most of the political parties of the alliance were busy serving their own interest.

Gupta said that increase in the prices of common commodities had increased the sufferings of poor and down- trodden in the society who were unable to fulfill their stomachs with their meager daily earnings.

Congress rule was promoting black marketing, said district president of the party Md Salim. Another senior leader of the party CP Tiwari said, “It seems that Congress rule intended to remove poor instead of poverty from the country”.

Surendra Katiyar said that Congress government consisted of corrupt leaders and exhorted people to dislocate the present Congress-led UPA government form Centre.

Meanwhile, a delegation of the Rashtriya Lok Dal Cahudhari Ajit Singh Youth Brigade handed over a memorandum addressed to the President of India through the district administration in support of their demand to review the price hike.

The delegation included senior leaders of Rashtriya Lokdal Suresh Agrahari, Rajendra

Gupta, BL Gupta, Aslam Ansari, Vickky Patel, Vipin Balmiki, Kaju Jaiswal and Aslam Ansari.
