UPA not taking incursions by Chinese forces seriously: BJP

Against the backdrop of regular incursions by Chinese forces into Indian territory, the BJP on Monday charged the UPA government with not taking the issue "seriously enough".

"The government should lodge strong protests with the Chinese government. The matter is serious but the government
is not taking it as seriously as it should," BJP spokesperson Prakash Javadekar told reporters in New Delhi when asked for the party's reaction on the issue.

He said BJP leaders from Arunachal Pradesh had raised the issue at various levels in the past also.

To a question on talks between the foreign ministers of India and Bangladesh scheduled for , he said the
government must talk to Dhaka and take concrete steps to deport Bangladeshi infiltrators from the country.
