In the face of unrelenting Left opposition to the Indo-US nuclear deal, the UPA Government's report card of its achievements in the last four years is largely silent on the pact.
The 63-page comprehensive report that lists the progress made in the various fields in detail and speaks elaborately about the policies and programmes of the government has a minute mention of the nuclear deal.
All that it says about the controversial deal is that there is "prospect of civil nuclear cooperation" with the US.
The very brief mention comes in the section on "External Affairs", while the "Energy" part of the report gives it a complete miss.
"Indo-US cooperation now spans a wide spectrum, including high technology, space, agriculture, education, trade and economic linkages and there is a prospect of civil nuclear cooperation," the report said while noting that there has been a transformation in Indo-US relations.
Ironically, the report was brought out by Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, who has staked his prestige on the deal, which is his baby.
This is perhaps reflective of the immense pressure on the Government from the Left allies to not operationalise the deal, which they claim will compromise the country's sovereignty and independent foreign policy.
