The investigative procedures of Gurgaon Police are not as strong and modern as it should be. The authorities should try to find out where they are lagging behind in controlling crime.

This affects the law and order situation in two ways — one, people especially the working class, do not feel safe and secondly, it brings a bad name to the law and order controlling agency such as the police.

The increasing crime graph is also causing fear amongst women, elderly citizens and thousands of professionals working in MNCs and call centres, who work in shifts.

Unlike Delhi, people are apprehensive to work in Gurgaon.

In comparison to the law and order situation in Delhi, Mumbai and other cities across the world, police patrolling is not carried out often during the night hours. This is due to the shortage of staff in terms of constables, poor equipment and professional attitude.

Though a plan is in the pipeline to enhance police strength and equip the system with modern mechanism mode, the year 2012 will be a dividing timeline between the plan and its implementation on part of the government.
