In a meeting held at the State Medical Faculty office, the committee decided that the report of the medical examination of the victim should be compared with other reports in similar cases.

Thus, four such reports in previous cases and four reports in connection with rape cases that occurred after this one would be demanded from the hospital authorities.

The committee earlier held a meeting on October 13, in connection with the Ashiana rape case and on another matter of charges against two doctors. The charges were framed after a news channel reported that doctors of Ghaziabad and Bareilly districts were involved in the unethical practice of amputating limbs of young kids, in connivance with the begging mafia. The show was aired in July and the Uttar Pradesh Government had ordered an enquiry against the doctors by the UPMC.

It was also decided in the meeting that a separate committee of experts would look into the Ashiana rape case. The committee for Ashiana rape case would include a gynaecologist and a forensic expert to match the doctor’s report and the CD submitted in support of the case.
