The US administration announced on Thursday it had awarded a contract worth up to $680 million to Bechtel Group to help in the reconstruction of Iraq.
The initial award for reconstruction was worth $34.6 million, but it provided funding of up to $680 million over 18 months, the US Agency for International Development said.
