US tourist found dead in UP hotel room

A US passport issued to Robert Leg, Rs 4,700, some US dollars, Nepali currency and other articles were recovered from the room.

A US passport issued to Robert Leg, Rs 4,700, some US dollars, Nepali currency and other articles were recovered from the room.

The door of the room was locked from inside, police said adding that he might have died of a heart attack on Wednesday night.

The tourist arrived in the temple town on February 22 from Nepal and was staying at the hotel in Pandeyghat area ever since, they said.

The US embassy in New Delhi has been informed, they added.
