Sources said around 300 people have been identified with the help of video footage and the police plan to undertake door-to-door search operations.
“The focus is on initiating preventive action against the rioters,” Fatehpur SP Rajeev Malhotra said, adding that those identified will be booked under Section 107/116 of the CrPC on charges of rioting, attempt to murder and arson.
The police are also contemplating invoking the National Security Act (NSA), said sources.
