Chief Minister Ramesh Pokhariyal Nishank ordered a magisterial inquiry into the incident, a day after a state-owned bus fell into a gorge at Bhajon area killing seven persons on the spot and injuring several others, officials said.

The chief minister also announced an ex-gratia of Rs 50,000 to next of kin of the deceased, they said.

Nishank further directed the officials to provide best medical care to the 22 injured.
