Devi Ahilya Vishwa Vidyalya (DAVV) vice chancellor Rajkamal said that he had conducted a surprise inspection at the University Innovative School run under the University Teaching Department (UTD) of School of Education at 8.30 am on Wednesday.

Rajkamal found three teachers missing without any application for leave and the environment unhygienic and unfit for study.

The desks and tables were lying in stacks and not placed properly in classrooms, while the furniture in the classrooms were covered in a thick layer of dust as if they had not been cleaned for a long time. The principal tried to convince the V-C by giving false excuses of the three teachers having verbally informed about their absence, which was found unacceptable and against all norms of conduct as stipulated in the rulebooks.

The three teachers and the lower staff members responsible for sweeping and cleanliness have been issued notices asking why they should not be suspended. The School mainly conducts classes from first to tenth to the children of the lower level staff working in the university and others who cannot afford fee to study in fancy schools.

It is not that his strict disciplinarian actions have been wholeheartedly accepted as those in the habit of evading work have felt the pinch of his activities and some have even shown their displeasure, yet his crusade to reform the university goes on.
