South Kashmir Pahalgam recorded minus 10.2 degress and north Kashmir's Gulmarg ski resort recorded minus 10.5 degrees, he said.

"The minimum temperature fell to minus 11.4 in Leh and minus 16 degrees in Kargil town of Ladakh region," the official said.

Winter capital Jammu recorded a minimum of 7 degrees Celsius, which is two degrees below normal, he added.

The weatherman said the cold, dry weather is expected to continue in the coming days in the Valley with minimum temperatures expected to dip further.
