A group of Sena workers resorted to vandalism when the management refused to meet Sena leaders Sanjay Raut and Suryakant Mahadik who had gone there with a delegation demanding that the sacked employees be reinstated. Though no guest was injured, the property of the hotel was damaged.

In a press release, the hotel management said: "While citizens have a right to protest, resorting to bullying tactics and violence is certainly not appropriate.”

Sena sought to justify what the workers did.

"Our people resorted to agitation because the hotel management did not talk to us," said legislator Anil Parab.
