BJP leader Varun Gandhi would move the Allahabad High Court against the invoking of National Security Act against him, his lawyer Ajay Kumar Saxena said on Monday.
"We will file a writ petition in the Allahabad High Court. We have started preparing for it", Saxena told reporters here.
He alleged invoking NSA against Varun is a "vindictive" measure so that he can be kept in jail for long.
He said the Chief Magistrate Court here, where two separate cases have been filed against Varun on charges of giving communally inflammatory speeches and violating prohibitory orders, does not have the power to decide on the NSA case and it is the state government's advisory board which has to take a decision on that.
"If there is any order against us, then we will see that this matter goes the honourable High Court", Saxena said.
