The father of Veenu Paliwal, one of the leading woman bikers in the country who was killed in a road accident on Monday, said his daughter was passionate about two-wheelers since she was a small girl.
Forty four-year-old Veenu died after her motorcycle skidded off a road in Madhya Pradesh’s Vidisha district on Monday evening. The lone female Harley-Davidson rider from Rajasthan was on a countrywide tour when she met with the accident.
“I had three bikes—Rajdoot, Jawa and Bullet—and she was always into them and even used to point out that I should not have sold the Bullet, a 1974 model. She started riding bikes at an early age of 12 years, and sometimes in my absence too,” KC Paliwal said.
Veenu was not just a rider but she was a good driver and disciplined and focused as well, he added.
Paliwal said she was passionate about whatever field she was into and lived her life for others.
“She believed that we have got everything in life and it’s time to return to society. She was multifaceted and aimed to achieve a lot in life. She was extra caring for her family, friends and especially for differently able and poor children.”

{{/usCountry}}Veenu, who owned a restaurant Chah Bar in Jaipur, was also planning to step into politics and had recently shared her inclination. He also said Veenu was recently offered a lead role in a film ‘Know Your India.’
Hemlata Paliwal, Veenu’s mother, recalled an incident when Veenu was a teenager and rode a scooter between two trucks. “She had a narrow escape but the scooter got crushed. I had advised her that it is difficult to control a bike at a high speed, despite having good control on it—as this is India where animals or people suddenly come on the road.”
The 72-year-old Paliwal said an astrologer had predicted that Veenu would not live a long life and whatever he predicted has proven right.
Veenu is survived by two children— son Shiven, who is pursuing his engineering in a college in the United States, and daughter Shivika who has just cleared her Class 12 exams and is planning to pursue a career in fashion in the United Kingdom.
“I am not going to make any allegation without knowing the reality. Why should I give inconvenience to anybody when my daughter is no more?” Paliwal said when asked about the suspicion that Veenu’s death was caused because of wrong medicine.

Surbhi Agarwal, a relationship manager at the Harley Davidson store in Jaipur, said Veenu’s objective was to promote safe riding and she always guided new riders with safety precautions.
“Veenu who used to call her bike ‘HOG Rani,’ always encourage to me to start riding and told me to overcome my fears. I will now definitely give a try to riding and some day might become HOG (Harley Owners Group) member,” Agarwal said.
She added that Veenu’s last WhatsApp status was ‘I am so proud, thank you god.’
Rajasthan business head of Harley Davidson Aman Kalra said Veenu was very active and participated in almost all rallies of HOG every month. She was trained, disciplined and a recognised rider, and always focused on safety but destiny had its own course.
“She had earned HOG’s LOH (Lady of Harley) officer badge in 2013. We have sold over 250 bikes in Rajasthan and she was the only woman rider,” he said.
Kalra said she along with Deepesh Tanwar was on 21/365 rally, where they were supposed to cover 21 Harley Davidson dealers in 365 days but they did it in 25 days. He added that she was riding Harley 48 worth Rs 10 lakh when she met with the accident.
“Veenu was planning a documentary on all her rides including the ongoing one. In February, she even participated in Indian Bike Week, Goa,” he said.
