Austin Sealy, Commonwealth Games treasurer and COCOM chairman, said, “There has been noticeable progress over the last two months. However, with only nine months remaining, the intensity must continue.”

Sealy said that progress had been made in a number of areas since September (the general assembly.

“We received detailed reports from the OC across key areas where we had previously identified delivery risks. These reports show an increased awareness of the work that has to be undertaken,” Sealy said.

The COCOM received detailed presentations from a range of key functional areas, including accreditation, village operations, security, technology, transport and venue operations.

“Overall it was a good presentation,” said OC vice chairman Randhir Singh, who has been entrusted with the job of coordinating with the COCOM. “Though the meeting went off well, but we can’t lose our focus. We have work with same intensity.”
