"...those not allowing him to be arrested. What do they want? They want terrorism to perpetrate," VHP international president Ashok Singhal told reporters in Kochi.

The PDP leader, who faces arrest in the case, had yesterday said that he would surrender before the nearest court "in the coming days".

Referring to the Afzal Guru case, Singhal said the sentence was yet to be carried out.

"They (government) were succumbing to the greed of Muslim votes," he said.

The senior VHP leader also criticised Prime Minister Manmohan Singh for his remarks on possible autonomy to Jammu and Kashmir.

Kashmir belongs to the whole country, he said.
