"If not by the court, Ram Janmabhumi should be established by an act of Parliament," Singhal said at a function in New Delhi to release a book 'Rama Setu: Symbol of National Unity' written by Janata Party leader Subramanian Swamy.

On the Setu issue, he said that the Sethusamudram project should be scrapped.

Singhal also said that certain anti-national forces were trying to destroy the Hindu culture and appealed to the people to fight them.

Swamy Dayanada Sarasvati, who released the book, said the Ram Setu issue was not negotiable.

Subramanian Swamy said the book talks about the multiple advantages of the Setu and why it should be preserved.
