THE VISHWA Hindu Pari-shad (VHP) is focusing on the eastern UP and organising camps in Varanasi and Gorakhpur to train 50,000 activists.

Talking to media persons, it international general secretary Praveen Togdia admitted that around 2,000 activists of saffron brigade participated in the training camp addressed by him in Gorakhpur.
He said 25,000 youths would be trained to counter terrorism in eastern UP which was becoming a safe haven for terrorist activities.
Togdia said, “I will go for criminal prosecution of CPIM general secretary Prakash Karat if he mentions the name of the Bajrang Dal in Malegaon blast without any considerable ground.”
Togdia demanded that security agencies should be given free hand to deal with the terrorist organisations. He said 37 innocent people lost their lives in Malegaon blasts.
He said Prime Minister Manmohan Singh had warned the Maharashtra Chief Minister about the possible Fedayeen attack, but the State Government failed to response with full intensity. He said that a strong political will was needed to check the spread of terrorism.
The UPA government had no such will as the government depended upon the diktats of the World Bank, he added. Responding to a question on the construction of Ram temple in Ayodhya, he said that a clear picture would emerge by February.
He said a strategy to construct Ram temple would be chalked out at the proposed third World Hindu conference at Allahabad on February 11, 12 and 13.
