Singhal was admitted to the hospital on Friday after he complained of shortness of breath.

Vice-president of Kashi Pranth of VHP Puneet Verma said that the doctors decided to put him on ventilator after concluding that his lungs were not functioning properly.

Earlier on October 21, Singhal was shifted to Medanta Hospital from Allahabad after he complained of breathing trouble. After undergoing treatment for nearly three weeks, Singhal was discharged on November 11.

However, the VHP leader once again complained of difficulty in breathing after which he was admitted to Medanta Hospital on Friday.
