Vidya, Shahid in Aziz Mirza's next

The film, like Ramu's Nishabd, is a story of a younger man falling for an older woman, informs Hiren Kotwani.

While many are waiting to see a 64-year-old Amitabh Bachchan romance a 18-year-old Jiah Khan in Ram Gopal Varma’s Nishabd, a production with reversal of roles is underway.

According to sources, director Aziz Mirza’s next is a younger man-older woman love story. And so he has cast Shahid Kapur and Vidya Balan to play the lead roles.

It’s also learnt that Abhishek Bachchan will be making a yet another guest appearance. This film comes after after Mirza’s plans to make films with Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan failed to materialise.

When called to ask about the casting, Mirza said, “It’s an interesting story and it demanded a suitable cast. The two actors look their parts, so I decided to cast them.”

However, he refused to give away the story of the film, saying, “It’s too early to talk about it right now. I’ll talk about it only after I start shooting.”

The director of Yes Boss, Phir Bhi Dil Hai Hindustani and Chalte Chalte is making a film after three years.

He dismissed the question on Bachchan Jr doing a guest appearance, saying, “I don’t know where these rumours originate from when I’ve still to begin shooting. I’ll talk only after the film goes on the floors,” he repeated and repeated.
