Despite the State having poor results in the 10th board examination from the past two years, the Minister was optimistic that the large-scale reforms being introduced in the education set-up by the State Government would be reflected in the 10th and 12th board exam results, to be declared in May and June.

He said that the government was trying to do away with deficiencies and factors responsible for poor results like deficiency of teachers and standards in zero budget schools.

He instructed the officials to match the same with measures like collecting result data in writing and sending to the education commissioner and zonal chairman. Zonal officers would assist the DEOs in this task. The DEOs failing to meet this target would face punitive action.

The DEOs were also asked to check records of private schools having a bad reputation and find out whether any norms had been flouted, violated or overruled while getting recognition from the respective board.

Strict action would be taken against schools having complaints of committing fraud with students and those recommended for action by the DEOs would face the prospect of de-recognition.
