Around 150 villagers took to the streets near Nathupur Mandi and shouted slogans against the Municipal Corporation of Gurgaon (MCG).

Water supply in the village near DLF City was hit after problems in a water pump.

Residents have also been demanding cleaning of choked sewer lines.

MCG officials and councillor Sunder Singh reached the spot and assured the agitating residents that their problems will be solved soon. MCG officials later visited Nathupur and said work on the water pipeline and sewer will begin from Monday.

This was the third such protest by residents in the city in the last 15 days.

Earlier, villagers of Islampur had blocked the busy Subhash Chowk on Sohna Road for almost four hours demanding adequate water supply.

On May 11, a protest was held at Dundahera which led to a major traffic jam on the Delhi- Gurgaon Kapashera border. Several other villages have also been facing water crisis.
