The MLA alleged that people were being supplied drinking water from the irrigation scheme. He said, “When the irrigation scheme collapsed, the villagers remain deprived of water and the possibility of contamination in water cannot be ruled out because it has been supplied from irrigation scheme.”

Bindal said the BJP government had sanctioned a scheme for the village, but the present Congress government had put the file into cold storage. He warned the IPH department to take immediate action or they would intensify the agitation.
Bindal said if the IPH department failed to resolve the issue till September 30, they would gherao the SE office of the IPH department.

Villager Babu Ram Chauhan said residents of the village were bound to drink water from irrigation scheme. He said the issue was raised before the IPH department on several occasions, but all in vain.
