RAJKIYA KAUSHAL Vikas Kendra (for orthopaedic disabled children in the age group of six to 16 years) is all set to start special training of beautician, secretarial practice, plumbing, food preservation and stenography from 2006-07.

The physically disabled children will also be provided free physiotherapy treatment at the centre. The admission for these programmes has started. The Kendra will also organise camp on every Tuesday to make disabled children and their parents aware about different facilities provided to them by the government.
The Rajkiya Kaushal Vikas Kendra was established by Handicap Welfare Department at Ashok Nagar, with an objective to develop different skills of the orthopaedic challenged children and make them financially independent.
The Kendra provides residential facility to 50 children. It also provides free food, medical and entertainment facilities to them. The Kendra also has 50 seats for the day scholars.
The disabled girls can also take admission in the day school.
The children are taught under the Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan. The Kendra is also running computer classes, mobile repairing, stitching, candle making and weaving training for the disabled children.
"The other type of disabled children could also attend the training programme," said the superintendent of Rajkiya Kaushal Vikas Kendra in an official communiqué.
