VP, Babbar to meet ?victims? today

NATIONAL GENERAL secretary of the Jan Morcha Vinod Singh said that former Prime Minister VP Singh and convener of the Morcha Raj Babbar would meet the victims of the anti-encroachment drive being conducted by the Kanpur Development Authority (KDA) at Gopal Nagar on September 14.

NATIONAL GENERAL secretary of the Jan Morcha Vinod Singh said that former Prime Minister VP Singh and convener of the Morcha Raj Babbar would meet the victims of the anti-encroachment drive being conducted by the Kanpur Development Authority (KDA) at Gopal Nagar on September 14.

Talking to mediapersons here today, Singh said that local unit of the Jan Morcha was opposing the proposed demolition drive of KDA at Gopal Nagar. He said the proposed move of the KDA has already been intimated to VP Singh.

He said that Jan Morcha was demanding action against the KDA officials and housing committees, who allowed the construction of the residential complexes.

Singh also flayed the KDA officials for illegal construction at Gopal Nagar and said that KDA officials earned money by illegal means without keeping the future of the Gopal Nagar in their mind.

He said the ‘Dadri Rath Yatra’ has been planned and it would start from Deoria on September 23. The said Rath Yatra would pass through 350 assembly constituencies of the State and would enter Dadri on November 24, he informed.

He said that Morcha has yet to finalise the tie-ups with other parties for the forthcoming assembly elections. However, he said at present it had support of about 18 smaller parties.
