FORMER Prime Minister VP Singh and cine star-turned- politician, expelled Samajwadi Party leader Raj Babbar shared a platform to express their concern about farmers’ plight, at Mau, about 110 kilometres from here on Sunday.

At a rally organised by the Bharatiya Samaj Party, the two leaders announced that a rally would be held in Lucknow in which demand for setting up of ‘Kisan Vikas Parishads’ all over the country would be forcefully raised on May 30.
According to reports, VP Singh also said at the rally that a decision whether Kisan Manch, which he is heading should contest elections jointly with likeminded political parties like Bharatiya Samaj Party in the future would also be taken up.The two leaders then left for Ballia where they are scheduled to stay for the night.
