Raising the issue through a call attention motion, BSP MLA Dr IMP Verma alleged that security was not provided to Chaudhary’s family despite repeated requests and when violence broke out in Morena and Jaura after they were killed in an attack on December 2, the police were too swift to take action on the agitated Chaudhary supporters.

He said that cases of arson and breach of peace were registered both in Morena and Jaura against some persons. He demanded a compensation of Rs five lakh for family of the victims and appointment on compassionate grounds for wife of Chaudhary’s son, who was also killed in the incident. Ramlakhan Sharma, Rajesh Patel and Rasmnivas Rawat, who were also participating in debate over the issue, supported the demand.

He denied the police was extra tough on Chaudhary supporters during agitation following his killing and said if fake cases have been registered against some of them, the matter would be examined and needful done.

Not convinced with the Minister’s reply, non-Congress Opposition staged a walkout of the House.
