The R and B minister was referring to a young boy, Khalid Mintoo from Doda, who was found dead under suspicious circumstances in Punjab where he was pursuing engineering.

Expressing concern over the number of deaths of students from the state who were studying in various parts of the country, Wani asked for the probe so as to ascertain the truth behind these sudden deaths and also to expose "foul play, if any".

"Like many incidents before, today we lost a bright and promising young man from our state," said Wani, in relation to Khalid's death.
