Acting on a tip off, the police arrested the Maoist on Friday when he was going to deliver a letter demanding levy of Rs 8 lakh, Deputy Superintendent of Police Dilnawaz Ahmed said.

Besides a pistol, Maoist literature were seized from the Maoist who is wanted in four cases in Muzaffarpur, Saran and East Champaran districts.
