A nationwide alert has been sounded following a non-bailable warrant of arrest issued against Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) MP from Gopalganj, Anirudh Prasad alias Sadhu Yadav, in connection with a case pertaining to multi-crore flood relief scam. Yadav is Railway Minister Lalu Prasad Yadav’s brother-in-law.
Additional Director-General (ADG), Vigilance, Neelmani said the non-bailable warrant (NBW) was issued against Sadhu by the Special Vigilance Judge, R.N. Prasad following a plea by investigating officer of the Rs 17-crore flood relief scam case on Monday evening.
The ADG (vigilance) said the investigating agency had faxed the copies of NBW and requested the Delhi police commissioner, director generals of police of all states, director general of the CISF, in charge of security of airports, besides all zonal IGs, DIGs and SPs in Bihar to cooperate with the bureau in arresting the MP. The secretary-general of the Lok Sabha has also being informed about the NBW. Neelmani said the vigilance bureau had sufficient evidence to nail Sadhu.
