Indian coach John Wright today said that the home team was in a good position going into the third Test from Wednesday here but warned that a Pakistani fight back was on the cards.

"Obviously, it's a good situation to be in (with Indian leading 1-0 in the three match series). We are looking forward to another good performance," Wright told reporters.
He said he expected Pakistan to stage a fight back in the last Test match starting on Thursday.
The first two Test matches were tough battles and played with a lot of intensity, Wright said.
Wright clarified that he did not say that India lacked the killer instinct after the first Test at Mohali where Pakistan in a rearguard action on the final day, managed to save the match.
"I had said we have to learn more about it (killer instinct)," Wright said, adding, in the second Test, from the first day itself, the home team had shown its resolve in facing pressure situations and hunger to win the match.
On captain Sourav Ganguly's poor run with the bat, Wright said he was sure the Indian skipper would get runs.

Declining to talk about the team composition, he said the pitch looked "pretty normal and good."
Asked if India had evolved any plans for Pakistan captain Inzamam-ul-haq, who is playing his 100th Test, Wright said: "We would like to get him out....Sooner the better. We would like to see his back."
However, he added: "It's a wonderful achievement by a player who I always enjoyed watching."
Wright brushed aside questions on his coaching stint with the Indian team coming to an end after this series.
"Not much relevence (going into the third Test). I am sort of a person who takes one game at a time. It's an opportunity to win the series, that's how I view it."
He said he made his position clear (on the coaching issue) two months ago.
