The CPI(M) has warned the UPA that it would be put "in the dock" in Parliament if it insisted on voting for a referral on the Iran issue to the United Nations Security Council.

"The Government will be put in the dock in Parliament if it insists on voting for a referral to the Security Council," CPI(M) General Secretary Prakash Karat said at the end of the two-day Politburu meeting.
Karat also hinted at mobilising support from other parties, both within UPA and outside, to create a pressure group on issues like Iran and FDI in retain.
