BJP President Rajnath Singh on Saturday said he had warned the Centre about an increase in infiltration of Pakistani terrorists after emergency was clamped in the neighbouring country.

He said in Varanasi it was understood that the Pakistani military would leave no stone unturned to disturb India as part of Musharraf’s strategy to divert public attention from himself to India at a time when he is facing a domestic crisis.

“But our government at the centre did not read the bold writing on the wall and miserably failed on the intelligence front, due to which terrorists struck at will at many places in quick succession on Friday”, Singh said, lambasting the UPA government for its “minority appeasement policies”.
