Deccan Chargers captain Adam Gilchrist on Wednesday blamed inconsistent batting for his team’s back-to-back defeats and hoped the mistakes would be rectified against Kolkata Knight Riders.
The defending champions had lost their inaugural match to Kolkata to begin their campaign on a disappointing note, but Gilchrist said they are not taking the return game as a revenge match.
“I do not see our match against KKR as a revenge match. Rather, I would term it as a match where we should rectify the mistakes we made in the previous matches,” Gilchrist said.
Asked whether they would bring in VVS Laxman on his favourite venue of Eden Gardens, Gilchrist said they would decide about it on Thursday.

The skipper of the Hyderabad-based franchise offered his good wishes to Sania, who also belongs to the city, for her marriage on April 15.
