Off-spinner Harbhajan Singh expressed confidence that the Indian team would continue its recent good form in the West Indies and backed Rahul Dravid's side to win a Test series in the Caribbean for the first time since 1971.

"If we stick to our plans and what we've been doing for the last 10 months or so we will do very well," Harbhajan told BBC Asian Network.

The Punjab bowler, who took 14 wickets in four Tests on his last tour to the West Indies in 2002, was bullish about India's chances.

"It's a big tour for us, hopefully we'll play hard and positive cricket, keep up the good work and win the series over there," the Turbanator said.

"We've been building a team which will play in the World Cup and we've been playing some good cricket," he added.

Harbhajan hoped that Sachin Tendulkar would make a return to the Indian team before too long.

The world record holder for the highest number of Test hundreds underwent shoulder surgery last month and Harbhajan believed the fact that the five-match one-day series, which will be played before the four Test matches, could give him a chance to recover in time.

"We hope he'll be back soon — he might be there for the Tests," the spinner said.
