Website in Hindi will help farmers

VICE-CHANCELLOR of the Chandra Shekhar Azad Agriculture and technology University (CSA) Dr VK Suri advised the agro scientist that they should develop a Hindi website of the university for the farmers who were not acquainted with English language.

Inspecting the agriculture information system cell here on Tuesday, Dr Suri asked the head of the cell, Dr Munish Gangwar, to create innovative technologies for the development of agriculture in every village.

He further said that present website of the university should be remodel and it should be developed in a manner, which extended every information to farmers.

According to Dr Gangwar, the vice-chancellor during his inspection suggested that every department of the university should be provided computers and should be encouraged to prepare project proposals for strengthening information technologies at the university level.

Dr Suri also suggested for taking up ICAR projects under its new scheme of National Agriculture Innovative Programme (NAIP). According to Dr Gangwar, following the directives of the vice-chancellor, he has proposed to provide Internet and email connections through local area network (LAN) in the university campus to facilitate the academic communication among the students and the professors.
