Politics in the name of religion was the "most dangerous" thing for the country and her party would not let it happen, Gandhi said at an election rally in Lucknow.

"There is a party which is indulging in religion-based politics for the last several years and it is again playing the communal card by incorporating Ram in their manifesto and talking about Ram Raj," she said.

"But I would like to tell these people that there is no place of hate, discrimination and riots in the Ram Raj. It is a system which ensures justice, honour and security to all."

She asked the people to choose between "brotherhood and separatism, development and destruction" in the elections and vote for the right candidate.
