The multi-platinum selling Australian band Taxiride is all set to woo Delhi with its music this evening for the VH1 Rock Rules series finale. And this outing is going to be more than just a concert for at least one member of the band — Jason Singh, who is of Indian origin.

"I’ve learnt a lot about India but it's a very different feeling being here finally. My grandparents moved to Fiji where my dad was born. My family belonged to North India but I wish someone would make a family tree for me to track down my extended family," says Jason.

When we question him on the band's name, he narrates an interesting story: "We had a cabbie friend in Melbourne who used to try out his music on his passengers and ask for feedback. That's where the name comes from."

And like any other person with some trace of India in his blood, Jason too wouldn't mind being part of a Bollywood movie. "I could do anything — write, sing, compose or even act. I'm a very handy guy you see!" That’s original!
