DURING A visit of City areas, Minister for Industries and Commerce Babulal Gaur on Saturday directed officials to prepare a plan for the construction of a road around Shahpura Lake. He also said that ongoing construction of various six-lanes and four-lanes roads would be completed by 2008.
Gaur while inspecting the construction of road connecting Nehru Nagar to Kolar Road said this would further be connected to Misrod. Capital Project Administration (CPA) is constructing this road at a cost of Rs 2.60 crore.
The construction of this road will lessen the distance of Chunna Bhatti and Nehru Nagar road by 3.5 km. The Minister directed CPA officials to maintain the quality of this road.
He said the six-lane road connecting Habibganj Railway Crossing to Saket Nagar would be completed by next year. This road would be extended till Amrawad Khurd, he added.
Gaur also inspected the road being constructed from Kolar Road to Hoshangabad road through Danish Nagar - at a cost of Rs 3.68 crore. A bridge on Kaliasot River would also be constructed under this project.
Among his other inspections were the road from Manisha Market to 1,100 Quarters and the work of the four-lane road being constructed from Habibganj under bridge to Misrod, which will be parallel to Hoshangabad road.

{{/usCountry}}The Minister inspected developmental work at Kolar Square and directed officials to install a fountain at this junction, which is being constructed at a cost of Rs 42 lakh.
The road at this junction is being widened by demolishing boundary walls of the PHE office and Water Resource Department office. Gaur also inspected the construction of the tribal museum at Shyamla Hills, which the CPA is constructing at a cost of Rs 10 crore.
BMC additional commissioner KK Singh, CPA superintending engineer Jawahar Singh, corporator Kewal Mishra, BJP leader Krishna Gaur and other leaders also accompanied the Minister.
