Even in this time of death and destruction, there was a scene at the site that moved all and sundry.

A rugged looking policewoman seemed to have come to terms with the crisis and shunned the ruthless image that comes with her position and put on the form of a caring mother.

In the situation of deep crisis, the cop hugged and consoled the wailing relatives of the deceased.

The act of modesty by the cop pacified the women who were brimming to express their outburst against the police personnel armed with helmets and guns.

A tear or two in times of crisis can spell magic, showed the woman cop.

The men folk, gathered in large numbers at the station, were seething with anger as the body of one of them lay in a pool of blood beside the blazing tracks.

This annoyed the crowd further and overwhelmed them with the lathis, retaliated by snatching and using it on the policemen, and then going ahead letting their ire vent through an “inferno.”
