"My government allotted land on patta (lease) to Dalits and oppressed sections, but Samajwadi Party goons have grabbed the land," she said, addressing party workers at an event organised to commemorate the 122th birth anniversary of Bhimrao Ambedkar.

"Jab hamari party ki sarkar banegi, tab aise logon ko toda jayega, aur aisa siddha karenge ki phir woh kabhi zameen par kabza nahi kar payenge (When BSP returns to power, strong action would be taken against the land grabbers so that they dare not grab land in the future.)"

At the event at Ambedkar Memorial, the BSP chief tried to boost the sagging morale of cadres, who are demoralised after the humiliating defeat of the party in the 2012 assembly election.

The Bhatpar Rani assembly by-poll defeat in March added to the party's woes.
